Twelve days of Christmas crafts…Day 10 Tin ornaments

Remember that post about the children’s center and their second hand stores? Well here is another one of those items I bought from them. A bag of tin ornaments. There were about twenty ornaments in my bag to decorate. This was a great find for someone like me. I couldn’t wait to get these home to start decorating them.

I had mostly rectangles like this

And gingerbread men like this.

So I got out my bits of fabrics, embellishments, ribbons, glue and created away.

I added fabric scraps to my rectangle tins, using the tin as a template.

Then I sewed felt onto the fabric before I glued it to the tin.

The gingerbread were pretty easy to decorate. I used white puffy paint to trace around gingerbread and added buttons for accessories.

I added tiny fabric flowers to my bird ornament.

Happy crafting everyone

    1. I know, isn’t that fun?. One of my favorite places in our thrift stores are the back walls filled with bags of mismatched things. Little grab bags of treasures to create with.
